Probably you're curious about the reason of my choice. Let me explain you..
The first and one of the most crucial things is that I love travelling, I love absorbing knowledge about the world as well as remote countries, the people and their customs.
The second reason is that I've been there in 2007 an I still dream to go back and enjoy that gorgeous and inspiring view..I still remember the colour of the rising sun and sky and keep it in my mind every single day...
I'd like to present you my website about The Grand Canyon. Not only can you find there some intriguing information about this natural miracle but also links to e.g. Grand Canyon National Park.
Here you have some more details and screenshots:
If you'd like to see more photos of The Grand Canyon all you have to do is to click on the Gallery. In this section you'll learn more about e.g. The Colorado River. Everything is decorated with breathtaking photos! enjoy :)
If you want to do some language tasks connected with the topic od the Grand Canyon, just click here and you'll have great possibility to find out more about hiking along the rims and to practise/check your language skills. Good luck!
If you want to see more, visit: www.mygrandcanyon.republika.pl
I hope you'll find my website motivating to do some further research on the Grand Canyon :)

My first teaching experience

My first teaching experience is strictly connected with a group of 10 5,5-year-olds that you can see in the attached picture. In fact, I struggle to teach them some English since October 2009 :) All right, it's not that bad! Honestly, I love working with them! I can't even describe how filled with joy I am when I see their progress, when they use some English words to each other or when they sing our song after the lesson. But what is the most important thing about teaching preschool children is the fact that I absorb an extremely positive attitude to life and no matter how bad my day is I simply forget about things that upset me. I guess their boundless energy is kind of infectious. That is really great! And sometimes they talk such funny things that I'm left speechless.
However!!!! I should also mention the fact that sometimes I feel as if I had 100 children, not 10..an then I'm powerless. They can be so evil!! They are, for example, rebellious, jealous of me!, nooooisy and wild that I don't want to see them for the next 10 years!!!! It really took me a lot of time to find some good remedies for such an unaccepted behaviour.
The pictures were made when they were having a fancy-dress party in their nursery school. It was January, I think. You can see some of the children wearing fancy-dress costumes! Some of the pupils looked like real characters from the famous cartoon stories!
By the way they are drawing themselves!
Look at they boy in the left corner..Kacper..he doesn't like me :( but only sometimes, as he claims ;) But generally, children keep repeating that they love me, that I'm so great, that they love English classes with me, that they don't want to finish lessons..then I'm so motivated!
I really adore these small creatures :)
Oh, and this is how a boy in the red costume (look at the picture above) sees himself:

Women in politics

Nancy Pelosi (born March 26,1940), is the 60th and current Speaker Of the United States House of Representatives. She is in her second term having made history in 2007 when she was elected first woman to serve as Speaker of the House.
Pelosi first made history in November 2002 when House Democrats elected her the first woman to lead a major political party. She brings to the Speaker’s role more than 22 years of experience in the House, representing the city of San Francisco since 1987. Before being elected Democratic Leader, she served as House Democratic Whip for one year.
In the 111th Congress, Speaker Pelosi “is an extraordinary leader for the American people," in the words of the President Barack Obama. Working in full partnership with the President, Pelosi worked quickly to pass the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to create and save millions of American jobs, provide relief for American families, and provide a tax cut to 95 percent of working Americans.
Speaker Pelosi has proved to be a strong, pragmatic leader, unifying her House Democratic caucus more than any other leader in the last 50 years to pass critical legislation moving America in a New Direction after eight years of Republican rule.
I would like to cite Pelosi so as to illustrate her fight for the good situation of American students:
“The Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act will invest $40 billion in Pell Grants and increase the maximum grant that can be awarded; invest more than $2.5 billion in our historically black colleges and universities and minority serving institutions; strengthen the Perkins Loan program that provides low-cost loans to students; and keep interest rates low for those who have federal student loans.
“This means that many more students will enter college; that they will graduate with less debt; that the federal loan initiatives that they and their families depend upon are strengthened for decades to come; and that taxpayers will save money. And also many households and parents can clearly encourage their children to do well in school; because college will be a possibility for them — no longer will it be out of reach.
I also attach a video of Pelosy's speech on Extending Access to Higher Education:

My childhood..

When thinking about my childhood two people come to my mind.
The first one is my younger brother Martin. He is the one with whom I ride a rocking horse in the picture on the left. As far as I remeber I was 4 or maybe 5 then. When I and Martin were little kids we used to live in the same room and play together a lot. I have always treated Martin as my little precious treasure that I have to protect and care about thoroughly. I'm sure that thanks to my little brother I have learnt to be very caring, emotional and responisble person.
The second person who had a huge influence on my childhood and my emotional development was my cousin Peter, who is 10 years older than me.
I preceisely remember the day this photo was taken. It was on the 5th May 1994. That day I received my First Communion. In this picture I'm dancing with Peter at my First Communion reception.
Peter has always been for me a kind of a role model to follow. He always played with me when I got back home from school. We also talked a lot. Since he is an only child I was treated that time as his little treasure. So you can see that it was exactly the same situation as I metnioned above with my brother. But this time it was me who was in the centre of someone's else attention.
